Journalistic Collection of Lúcio Flávio Pinto, journalist since 1966, specialist in the Amazon and on topics on the environment, climate crisis, politics, economy and human rights.
Born in 1949, he has been a professional journalist since 1966. He has worked in the newsrooms of some of the main publications in the Brazilian press. For 18 years he was a reporter at O Estado de S. Paulo. In 1989 he left the mainstream press. He dedicated himself to Jornal Pessoal, a fortnightly newsletter that he wrote alone, from 1987, based in Belém. The alternative publication became an indispensable source on the two themes to which he dedicated himself, the Amazon and journalism, during its 32 years of existence . An almost complete collection is located in the library at the University of Florida, in Gainesville, in the United States.
